History

The Lotus Dodge Travco JPS is a unique and rare motorhome that was created by Lotus Engineering in collaboration with Dodge and the John Player Special (JPS) cigarette brand. The Travco JPS was designed as a luxury touring vehicle for the JPS-sponsored Lotus Formula One team in the 1970s.

The Travco JPS features a custom-built aluminum body with JPS branding and black and gold livery, which was also used on the Lotus F1 cars of the era. The interior is fully equipped with luxurious amenities, including a full kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping quarters.

Under the hood, the Travco JPS is powered by a Dodge 440 V8 engine that produces 375 horsepower, which is mated to an automatic transmission. The suspension and brakes were also upgraded to handle the weight and performance of the motorhome.

The Travco JPS represents a unique collaboration between Lotus, Dodge, and JPS, and showcases the engineering and design capabilities of Lotus.
