History

The Lotus Exige Type 79 is a limited edition sports car that was created by Lotus to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their Formula One championship victory in 1978. The car is based on the Lotus Exige Cup 430, but features unique styling and performance enhancements that pay homage to the Lotus 79 F1 car.

The Exige Type 79 features a striking black and gold livery, which is similar to the JPS livery used on the Lotus F1 cars of the era. The car is powered by a supercharged 3.5-liter six-cylinder Toyota supercharged engine that produces up to 430 horsepower, which is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The interior of the Exige Type 79 is fully customized and features leather and Alcantara seats with Type 79 logos, as well as a high-end sound system and air conditioning. The car also includes advanced suspension and braking systems, which enable it to deliver a thrilling and agile driving experience.

The Lotus Exige Type 79 is considered a rare and collectible car, with only a few hundred examples produced.
