History

The Lotus Europa JPS is a limited-edition sports car that was produced by Lotus in collaboration with the John Player Special (JPS) tobacco company in the 1970s. This iconic car featured the distinctive black and gold livery that was synonymous with the JPS brand at the time.

The Lotus JPS Europa was based on the Lotus Europa Twin Cam Special and featured a range of upgrades and modifications. These included a new black and gold paint scheme, JPS badges and decals, and a range of interior upgrades such as special seats and door trims. The car was powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, which gave it a top speed of around 118 mph.

The JPS Europa was a limited edition model, with only 100 examples being produced. This rarity and exclusivity has made the car a highly sought-after collector‘s item, with prices often reaching well into six figures. The JPS branding and unique design features have also made the car a favorite among automotive enthusiasts and fans of the Lotus brand.
